Darcy Grinolds loves her job working with robots! As part of a robotics team at X (formerly Google[x]), her job is to figure out how well a prototype robot works, and how it might break. She enjoys the combination of experimental design, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, materials characterization, and working with a lot of different teams and people to solve problems together. Before she worked at X, Darcy studied Physical Chemistry and did research on the chemistry of “paintable” solar cells.
