Jason E. Squire is Professor at USC School of Cinematic Arts where he teaches movie business and screenwriting.

Former students include Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios; directors Ryan Coogler, Doug Liman and James Gray.

Squire is editor of The Movie Business Book, the primary textbook in the field. The new Fourth Edition is being translated in China, where he has Guest Lectured nine times, including at the Shanghai International Film Festival and the Beijing International Film Festival.

His groundbreaking research helped establish “movie business” as a distinct area of academic study. After a career as a movie executive, he joined
the USC faculty.

Squire was Visiting Professor, Beijing Film Academy; is Master of Entertainment Studies, DeTao Masters Academy, Shanghai; and Honorary Fellow, Mallen Scholars/Practitioners Workshop in Motion Picture Studies.
